It's a fact that Nicole has a lot of hair, too much in fact for the size of her face. Most women only dream to be able to grow their hair that long. Nicole has a small oval face and although her hair is one of her distinguished features it seems to overtake the face. What Nicole's got right is she doesn't wear a fringe, I say this because if you look at the photo above taken on December 2013 at the X-Factor Sightings In London you can see that her forehead is very small and a fringe would cut it down even more making her face appear smaller too. Nicole has a nice face and would suit her more if the style was taken back. This means that she could get away with a shorter style or could wear it in an up do, or half up/down. Other than that, if Nicole wants to keep it long I would recommend that she cuts at least 2-3 inches off the length, this would make those tatty ends look in better condition and would be a nicer proportion to her face. If Nicole was in a brave mood I would recommend a style that was half way over her ears that she could wear back over her ears or forward. I would add some choppy layers and keep the outline soft and a little feathery. I would keep her fringe fairly long (around bottom of eyes) but would be worn back with some height or to the side, or if she wanted a small amount of hair on her forehead then no more than a slither, this would make her look more sexy than ever. Many long hair lovers will disagree BUT you wait and see, I predict sometime in the future she will go for the chop and if it's cut well you would hopefully be converted to the "shorter hair doesn't look so bad club". This is the same haircut as the first photo and you can see it looks just as bad. The hair looks nice and shiny I give it that but the connection from the sides to back is terrible. If she wants to wear it long she would have to first (as mentioned above) lose around 2-3 inches from the length then grow the sides about 2 inches longer, this would make it look more connected and a much better shape. I mentioned above that I prefer her hair taken back, you can see from the photo above taken on February 2014 at The BRIT Awards, that her face looks better and even stronger looking without losing her femininity. Although I think if the sides were slightly lifted out (it looks a bit squashed) it would be a perfect look for her. On this photo you can see what I mean by her forehead looking small and hair taken back opens her face out a bit more. The next photo above taken on the 21st January 2014 at the Beats By Dre Music Launch GRAMMY Party, even though it's just a simple blow-dry away from her face with a little height, it really suits her. I would always recommend a style that produces a little height for her, this is because any flat styles would make her face appear even smaller. The next photo taken on December 2013 at Shoreditch House in London, although she's looking down for some reason from what I can see this is one of her stronger looks and possibly the best I've seen. It's got the height, strength and very importantly well balanced for her face. Although this is put up it's not that dissimilar to my recommended haircut that I mentioned above. Below is a link to one of my hair videos. It's a beehive ponytail makeover and would look lovely on Nicole. Please note that the first look where the hair is across the model's forehead would not suit, however the second and final look where the hair is taken back would. I have recommended two styles above, the shorter hair look on Nicole and an up do with hair taken away from her face. For my face shape section bellow this will be referring to the hair up style's. Nicole has this face shape so my suggested style would suit this face shape perfectly. - a heart shape face The style would work BUT you must keep some hair on your forehead in order to make it appear a bit smaller. I would also make sure that you can see a little hair from the front around her neck line. this will open out the narrow bottom part of your heart shape face. - a square shape face A hair up would be fine although I would have some pieces of hair pulled out at the back and possibly at the sides, I would keep this style loose and soft rather than pulled back tight, as this will help soften a square shape face. - a round shape face Keep some height on top and for the sides not too tight or wide. If too wide then your face may become more round and if too tight will be a similar illusion. It all sounds a bit technical, so if your not too sure you could always visit your hairdresser to work their magic, watch what they do then possibly repeat at home. - a long rectangular face Keep the style fairly flat on top not producing anymore height and the sides I would add some fullness, (not pulled back as tight) as long face shapes are normally narrow and will look better with some width.
